Indian Army is going to recruit Havildar in all over India branches as per the rules and regulation given in the main notification. Indian Army is a reputed army in India. We are giving there the main detail of the notification/advertisement so that you can see your eligibility criteria to apply for the posts. Essential Qualification:
  1. Group X – BA, B.Ed. or B.Sc. B.Ed. or BCA B.Ed. or MA or M.Sc or MCA. from any recognised university.
  2. Group Y – BA or B.Sc.or BCA without B.Ed. from any recognised university.
  3. The candidates should have working knowledge of either English or Hindi or both. Also in the graduation at least two of the following subjects should be at the graduation level : B.Sc. / BCA – Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Electronics, Computer Science, BA – English Literature, Hindi Literature, Urdu Literature, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Psychology, Mathematics, Sociology.
Selection Procedure: First there will a screening of the candidates for
  1. Physical fitness Test and
  2. Medical Standards and
  3. Those candidates selected in the screening and are medically fit will be permitted to appear in the written examination which will be conducted on at HQ Recruiting Zone/ IRO Delhi Cantt on 31/07/2011. After this written examination those who will be declared successful in the written exam will called for interview and training aptitude test at Panchmarhi (MP)

    Indian Navy :
    Soldiers : Unmarried Male Indian citizens with 55% aggregate marks in Maths & Science at Matriculation or Equivalent level with age limit of 16 - 19 Years. (or)
    10+2 or equivalent exam passed with 50% aggregate marks in PCM and at least 50% aggregate marks in Maths & Physics. There are written test & Physical Fitness Tests before entry.
    10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme : 10+2 or its equivalent exam Pass candidates with at least 70% aggregate marks in the PCM and at least 50% marks in English either Class X or Class XII within the age limit of 16½ and 19 Years the selected by Indian Navy for training at its prestigious Naval College of Engineering at Lonavala (Pune) and Cochin University of Sciences & Technology, Kochi, to prepare officers for a career in Marine / Electrical / Electronic Engineering and Naval Architecture Cadres of the Indian Navy.
    The candidates must have a minimum height of 157 cm with chest expansion of 5 cm and co - related weight with age and an uncorrected eyesight of 6/12, 6/12 (without glass) and 6/6, 6/6 corrected with glass.
    The short listed candidates are called for interview by SSB followed by a physical test and on successful completion of 4 Year training, are granted permanent commission in Navy.
    The Indian Navy also recruits 10+2 Pass Artificer Apprentice for which it holds a competitive written exam. This field is open to unmarried male Indian citizens with a height of 157 cm with a chest expansion of 5 cm.
    Indian Air Force :
    Airmen in Group 'Y' Trades : The minimum qualifications for recruitment as Airmen is Matriculation / Intermediate or equivalent examination (including 10+2) with a minimum 50% marks and pass marks in English.
    Eligibility : Only unmarried male Indian citizens as also citizens of Nepal are eligible for recruitment.
    Height : Minimum 152.5 cm.
    Mechanical Driver : 165 cm (162.5 cm for candidates belonging to Uttaranchal and North Eastern States) with minimum leg length of 99 cm.
    Ground Training Instructor : 167 cm (162.5 cm for candidates belonging to Uttaranchal and North East.
    IAF (Police) : 175 cm.
    Chest : Minimum expansion of 5 cm. Weight Corresponding to height and age.
    Vision : Unaided 6/36, corrected with glasses 6/36, corrected with glasses 6/9 for each eye [For IAF (Security & Police) unaided vision is 6/6].
    Hearing : Able to hear forced whisper at 6 minutes with each ear separately.
    Written Test : Candidates have to qualify both in English & Mathematical Reasoning papers.
    The successful candidates have to undergo a Physical Fitness Test which includes a 1.6 km run to be completed in maximum of 8 minutes. Candidates qualifying in PFT have to undergo medical examination by the Air Force Medical Team as per IAF Medical Standard.
    Airmen in Tech (Intermediate) Trades X Groups : Unmarried male Indian citizens are subjects of Nepal between 16 - 22 Years of age can apply for Airmen in Tech (Intermediate) Trades.
    The minimum educational qualification for these trades is Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics, Maths & English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Medical standards are the same as for Airmen in Group 'Y'. 


    INDIAN ARMY RECRUITMENT

The Indian Army recruits, trains and absorbs Indian citizens for various posts in both the officer and other ranks.

    For officers, the Army recruits on Permanent Commission (absorption till retirement) and Short Service Commission (for a tenure of 5 years) basis. Candidates have to qualify the tests for National Defence Academy (NDA) or the Indian Military Academy (IMA) to join Army as permanent commission. Candidates who join the Army as Short Service Commission are engaged for tenure of 5 years; however they have the option to continue as permanent commission, if they desire to continue their service further.

    Candidates who have passed their class 12 of the 10+2 system of education or equivalent and are within the age group of 161/2 to 19 years are eligible for NDA examination followed by SSB interview. Advertisements are notified twice a year during March/April and October/November by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

    For entry in Indian Army through IMA, candidates have the option of Direct Entry, Engineering Graduate Entry, University entry Scheme and 10+2 PCM (Technical) Entry scheme.

    • Any candidate having a graduation degree, falling under the age group of 19 to 24 years is eligible for Direct entry by appearing the Combined Defence Service Examination (CDSE) followed by an SSB interview conducted by UPSC.
    • Engineering graduates may apply to Additional Directorate General of Recruiting (TGC), Army HQ, West Block III, RK Puram, New Delhi - 110066 for direct SSB interview for Engineering Entry.
    • For University Entry Scheme which is commenced in the month of July each year, the applicant should be in the final or pre-final year of an engineering degree course and qualify the campus interview and SSB interview.
    • Candidates who have passed 10+2 with aggregate marks and are between 161/2 and 191/2 years of age are eligible for 10+2 PCM (Technical) Entry. The candidates should apply directly to the Recruitment Directorate through mail to recruitingdirectorate@vsnl.net.

    The Indian Army also recruits women in the Officer cadre under its special recruitment scheme for women. Indian women, who have done graduations and post-graduation, wishing to be an Army Officer may apply for the Short Service Commission. The applications will be first of all screened by the Recruiting Directorate of the Army Headquarters and the candidates are allowed to appear the SSB test. Selected candidates are trained at the officer Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.

    The Director General of the Armed forces Medical services conducts an all India competitive exam for recruitment of Regular Commissioned /Short Service Commissioned Medical Officers from the graduates /Post graduates of Civil Medical Colleges. Selected candidates undergo training and education from the Armed Forces medical College (AFMC), Pune and after the successful completion of the course; the graduates are inducted in the Army as permanent Commissioned Medical officers in the Armed Forces.

    Recruitment in Indian Army for ranks other than officers such as Non-Commissioned ranks and Jawans is conducted through the Branch Recruiting Offices (BRO) and Head Quarter Recruiting Zones. The dates of the recruitment rallies are notified in all the leading local news papers of the respective location and also in the Employment News. The candidates may contact their respective BROs and Zonal Offices for the date of rally and report to the recruiting Officer along with their relevant certificates, mark sheets, documents and six copies of latest photographs. For various locations of BROs and Zonal Offices across the country, candidates may log on to RECRUITMENT LOCATIONS section of the official web site of Indian Army.

    The recruitment procedure follows a series of procedures such as;
    • Checking of documents.
    • Physical measurements.
    • Physical fitness test.
    • Medical examination.
    • Written examination.
    • Preparation of merit list.
    • Enrollment and Dispatch of selected candidates in order of merit to Centres.

    The test is comprised of both written test and physical and medical fitness test. The Common Entrance Examination (CEE) conducted on last Sundays of each month for recruitment of Soldiers consists of the following two papers;
    • Paper-I - Compulsory for all soldier categories
    • Paper-II - For Sol. Technical, Sol. ClK (GD/SKT) and Sol. Nursing Assistant.
